Come do your genealogical or other historical studies here in the museum's research room.

This space houses a small but growing collection of Butternut family histories, historical documents, newspapers and the Society's photo catalog. Local historian, Maxine Kleinsteiber, a living treature trove of knowledge regarding the area's stories and family lineages, is available to assist visitors with their research.
Vintage photo collection - |
Much of the Society's photo collection is on display in the 'Front Room' of the museum.

The entire collection is stored on the museum's computer and copies can be instantly printed upon request for a nominal fee.
Gift shop - |
The gift shop features locally made crafts, postcards and Butternut memorabilia. Proceeds go to support the museum.

Rotating Exhibits - |
An exhibit featuring world renowned wrestling champion, Charlie Fisher, will be on display throughout most of the summer.

Last year, the museum's exhibits centered on the area's logging history. This year, the season will start with a historic fishing theme in May, followed by a bridal / wedding history exhibit in June.
